+I read a lot of books and I've always been told I'm an intellectual, but I'd say my sense of humour is even more valuable than my smarts. Laughing brings people together, it bonds them, and being able to lighten the mood or take the load off of someone else's shoulders is a very important part of human connection. Alongside empathy and genuine understanding, I believe humour has a major role to play in trying to relate to another person. I suppose it's the fact that I can read people (that's where my smarts come in) that allows me to judge just how much humour or wit to introduce to the conversation.
